We’re a tight crew of gate specialists who’ve spent years chasing down faults in salt air, humidity, and the occasional iguana that’s decided a gate motor is prime real estate. Every technician who rolls out in a Warden truck lives in Broward County, knows the difference between a Victoria Park estate gate and a Riverland condo swing arm, and carries the same promise: a written price before any work starts, and a repair that’s right the first time. We don’t hand jobs to subs. We don’t send strangers. You get a name and a photo before we arrive, and a badge at the door.

Our People
Cole Rafferty, Owner & Lead Technician
Cole started Warden Gate Repair Fort Lauderdale after spending years working commercial access systems, where a failed gate wasn’t just an inconvenience. It was a security breach. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, and Linear, and he still runs service calls himself because that’s where the truth lives. You can’t diagnose a Viking swing arm from a desk. Cole’s the one who decided every Warden job gets the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and he signs off on every technician who carries his company’s name. Off the clock, he’s usually under a boat doing wiring, which he claims is the same troubleshooting muscle with more sunburn.
Mike T., Senior Installer & Fabrication Specialist
Mike has been welding and fitting gate hardware in South Florida since before some of our customers’ communities were built. He’s our go-to for cantilever slide gates where the track has shifted, for rusted hinge pillars, and for retrofitting newer operators like Ghost Controls and Mighty Mule onto older gates that other companies won’t touch. Mike’s specialty is making a new motor work on a gate that predates the internet. He keeps a neat truck and a blunt pencil, and he’ll tell you straight if a gate needs repair or replacement. There’s no upsell with Mike. Just the truth, usually delivered over the sound of a grinder.
Dana R., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice you’ll likely hear when you call Warden Gate Repair Fort Lauderdale at (754) 354-9065. She’s been dispatching field techs in Broward for over a decade and can usually guess the failure from your first three sentences. Gate won’t open? She’s asking whether you hear a hum or nothing at all. Gate stuck halfway? She’s checking whether it’s a slide or a swing. Dana builds the daily routes, sends every customer their technician’s name and photo ahead of the visit, and keeps the 24/7 phone coverage running the way Cole insists on: a live person, always. She’s also the one who makes sure your written quote is in your hand before Mike or Cole touches a tool.
Luis M., Apprentice Technician
Luis joined Warden after two years working residential installs, and he’s the youngest guy on the truck but by no means green. He’s actively working through factory certification on DoorKing and Elite operators, and he shadows Cole on more complex motor and control board diagnostics. Luis handles a lot of our battery backup checks, photo eye alignments, and keypad programming. He’s the one who’ll run your gate through its full cycle three times after a repair and explain what he’s looking and listening for. If you see him take notes on his clipboard mid-repair, that’s a good sign. Cole taught him that writing down a repair forces you to actually think through it.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Warden technician, from Cole down to our newest apprentice, works under what we call the Threshold Standard. That means a background check and identity verification before they ever put on the uniform. It means a photo ID badge shown at your door, not left in the truck. It means factory training on the nine brands we service: LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule. And it means the 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every single repair we do, no exceptions. If what we fixed fails within a year, we come back free. That’s the deal. That’s the standard. And it holds at every Warden location in the Threshold Group family, including right here in Fort Lauderdale.
